المجلد الخامس يشمل بعض الدراسات السياسية التي كتبها غسان كنفاني، وهي المواد التي صنفتها مؤسسة غسان كنفاني الثقافية لهذا المجلد إثر استشهاده سنة 1972. من المعروف أن غسان كان غزير الإنتاج، وكونه مارس الصحافة أيضاً بالإضافة الى إنتاجه الأدبي من روايات وقصص قصيرة، فقد كان من الصعب الإحاطة بهذا الإنتاج السياسي وخصوصاً أنه كان يرأس تحرير العديد من الصحافة اليومية والأسبوعية.

أصدرت «منشورات الرمال» بالاشتراك مع «مؤسسة غسان كنفاني الثقافية» المجلد الخامس من الدراسات السياسية التي خلفها الشهيد الذي لا يغادرنا طيفه وهو يحوم متخذاً شكل «الدليل» حتى لا يضل «العائدون» طريقهم إلى الأرض المقدسة. - وكالة الوطن للأنباء

يدرس غسان كنفاني "الأدب الصهيوني " الذي" كُتب ليخدم حركة استعمار اليهود لفلسطين، سواء كتبه يهود أم كتّاب يعطفون، لسبب أو لآخر، على الصهيونية ويخدمونها وهو يشمل الأدب الذي كتب بلغات غير عبرية، ومن قبل كتّاب غير يهود طالما أنه ينضوي تحت راية الصهيونية السياسية ويخدم مخططاتها".

On Zionist Literature is Ghassan Kanafani's study of the literature that served the Jewish movement's colonization of Palestine, whether written by Jewish or non-Jewish authors. The study includes literature written in languages other than Hebrew, including non-Jews, as long as it served political Zionism.

في الفترة التي امتدت بين ١٩٤٨ و١٩٦٨، قدم المثقفون العرب في فلسطين المحتلة، من خلال أقسى ظروف القمع، والأسر الثقافي، نموذجاً تاريخياً لثقافة المقاومة، بكل ما فيها من وعي وصمود وصلابة، وأهم من ذلك، بكل ما فيها من استمرار وتصاعد وعمق."

In the period between 1948 and 1968, Arab intellectuals in occupied Palestine have established, despite the harshest conditions of oppression, an historical cultural model of resistance, resilience, solidarity, and more importantly, continuity, development and profundity.

للعواقب التي أرخى بها، ليس على المتحدَيْن الضالعَيْن فيه وحسب، بل على ما يتجاوزهما، وبخاصة على عملية التسوية
اللبنانية ما بعد الحرب، لأهميتها القصوى. وقد يكتنف هذا الفهم على جواز الاستعانة به وتطبيقه في مقاربة نزاعات متّحدية
أخرى تستعر المنطقة بها.
ميزة الكتاب : لم يُسْبَق حتى الآن، في الدوائر البحثية أقلّه، إلى السعي إلى كتابة سردية في حرب الجبل وفي الأحداث
التي أدّت إليها. ومن شأن سرد رواية، أو ربما روايات، العديد من الرجال والنساء الذين شاركوا في هذه الأحداث أو اكتفَوْا
بمكابدة سوء عواقبها، أن يشكّل مساهمة قيّمة في حقل علم التاريخ اللبناني، وبخاصة لما يكتنف عليه هذا النوع من السرديات
على ما يساعد على عرض الحوافز الجوهرية، التي كانت السبب فعلياً في هذا النزاع، كما على ما يعين على الحَؤول دون نشوب نزاعات مشابهة له في المستقبل.

The Druze and the Maronites arguably the two founding communities of modern Lebanon have the reputation of being primordial enemies. Makram Rabah attempts to gauge the impact of collective memory on determining the course and the nature of the conflict between these communities in Mount Lebanon. He takes as his focus ''the War of the Mountain'' in 1982, reconstructing the events of this war through the framework of collective remembrance and oral history.He challenges the idea that these group identities were constructed by their respective centres of power within the Maronite and Druze community, providing an alternative to the prevailing meta-narrative. Telling the stories of the many people who took part in these events, or who simply suffered as a consequence, helps to expose the intrinsic motives which led to this conflict and makes a valuable contribution to the field of Lebanese historical scholarship.
